RE: RE: RE: RE: Plugin incompatible with OP v6.8.2

I need more clues.

If you go to Tools->Options->Analysis Modules, is you plugin listed?

What does you plug-in normally do that it is not doing now?

RE: RE: Plugin incompatible with OP v6.8.2

Hi rjt387,

Plug-ins using API v11 will work in OP v6.8.2. Step through the ::OnLoad() function and see if it is returning an error.

RE: ProtoSpec

Yes, you will need to call IsDescendentOfProc(). A PSID does not contain descendant information.

RE: Omnipeek Plugin Debugging

Go to Debug->Exceptions, and click the checkbox next to "Win32 Exceptions". The debugger will then break at the error in your plugin, instead of throwing back to OmniPeek.

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Compass - not displaying graphs

Hi eqwatt, I created a folder called C:\Users\spacepacket\Documents\Packets\üNew folder. The folder name starts with ü. I copied a trace file into this folder, and then opened it in Compass. Worked for me. Is there something more specific I need to do in order to reproduce this? Thanks! -Chris

RE: RE: RE: Compass - not displaying graphs

Chipps, you made my day! Thank you. Any other questions, feedback, or feature requests you may have about Compass, would be very much appreciated. Just wondering, are you using Compass Free with OmniPeek or WireShark? Either way, we have some videos on YouTube about both that you might find useful, ...

Hi Chipps,

I completely agree with you. I will fix this problem so that it will work as delivered.

Did resizing make any difference?

Thanks for your input.

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Compass - not displaying graphs

Hi Chipps, Thanks for the screenshot. I see a little chunk of the flash graph in there, so at least we know that the flash part is running. Two other users have seen this, and both were fixed by updating to the latest service packs. Did you try changing the Flash Global Security Settings? Also, have...

RE: RE: RE: Compass - not displaying graphs

Ok, I am sure we can get to the bottom of this. I just need to think of the right questions to ask. How about this... In the timeline graph at the bottom, do you see a graph that is empty (no series), or is there nothing there at all, just a blank square? Experiment: Go into the Compass/Compass fold...

RE: Compass - not displaying graphs

Hi brempel, I do not know exactly what the problem could be. The UI components that are not showing up are the Flash modules. It sounds like Compass knows Flash is there. If Flash was not detected, those areas would contain a link to get Flash. Have you updated the OS with all of the latest service ...

RE: RE: RE: Configuration GUI is flickering while Window is

I tried that. I am not seeing any flickering. I am suspecting your video card or driver. Have you tried updating it?

Does the flicker happen with and without your plug-in? Do other applications flicker when resized?

That is a great point DJWP. In fact, it is such an important feature of Compass that we made a video about it.

Welcome to the Compass Discussion Forum

First of all, if you do not know what Compass is, then go download the free version from http://cnet.co/jCSWnh, install it, and load a packet file. Yes, it reads pcap files. Now, mess around with the flashy dashboard style timeline graphs, and then finally hit the report button. Nice? We think so, b...

Not sure what the problem is. I have not developed a plug-in tab in C#. Not sure if that is the problem. Have you had any luck fixing it yet?

RE: Trying to Import geo filter but gives error message

The geo filters were developed for the console, not the engine. I am sure they could be converted to the format required by the engine, but it would take some effort.
