RE: RE: importing tcpdump files

As noted, we can't use the streaming approach. Here's how I got it to work on a Ubuntu machine. sudo tcpdump -i eth0 -nn -s0 -v -C100 -w /home/gordon/captures/capture A series of files are created. The trick is to append ".pcap" to let the files be recognized and imported by Omnipeek. Sugg...

importing tcpdump files

How can I collect offline data to a file with tcpdump and import the file into OmniPeek?

Default options don't work and we are not able to use the tcpdump streaming setup.

Capturing video over IP

I would like to analyze (and view) a CCTV IP Video stream. Selecting the packets, right clicking doesn't give access to the Voice & Video Visual Expert (mentioned in the help). I am running Omnipeek 5.1.

I just bought one of the linksys USB adapters. It worked immediately with Vista SP0. Thanks for hilighting it.. Some suggestions: 1. Don't tell users to disable UAC, it's not necessary and is a security risk. 2. Take the D-Link adapter off the approved list. It doesn't work with the Ralink driver 3....

Help!

Looking inside the .inf file I see that there is no support for Vista. Do you have an updated Wildpackets compatible driver that works with Vista?

I just bought a D-Link DWA-160 ver 1.1 USB 802.11 device per above. Upon updating the driver to the Wildpackets version (with some disagreement from Vista) my Ethernet adapter on the Dell Vostro 1310 disappeared! The adapter never showed up in Omni with a Wildpackets driver. It looks like this drive...

express card and USB wireless adapters

A quick look through the supported driver list didn't discover any adapters that are Express Card or USB. My new laptop has no PC Card slot.

Any suggestions for supported a/b/n chipsets available in Express Card or USB formats?
