Re: Driver for Linksys AE6000

That Linksys adapter is no longer supported by Omnipeek.

The current supported adapter is the OmniWiFi AC and the driver is installed with the current version of Omnipeek.

Re: Write driver to support omnipeek API

The driver used for the OmniWiFi adapter is coded by Ralink, so Savvius does not have an API for it. We will investigate to determine if there might be a way to do this.

Re: mimo packets erros

Omnipeek 6.0 is 12 years old and does not support even 802.1n technology.

We recommend you obtain the current version of Omnipeek (12.2) and a compatible WLAN adapter which supports 802.11n and 802.11ac

Re: Monitor iPhone 8

Missing EAPOL packets is not related to the type of adapter you are using. The NetGear adapter is essentially the same as our OmniWiFi adapter, which is the only adapter we support. Make sure you have the latest version of Omnipeek (12.2) and the OmniWiFi driver installed with that version (5.1.12.4...

Re: Random Crashes - stability tweaks

Hello- As you stated, Omnipeek was just not designed for long term capture. We would encourage you to use the Capture Engine software instead, as it was designed for this. You can contact your account representative for details. Here are some things you might try: 1. Disable all protocols from the c...

Re: Savvius OmniWifi 11ac adapter noise when capturing 11ac traffic

Hello- This is the first such report of this issue. If you have another OmniWiFi adapter, please try that and see if it exhibits the same symptom. Re: Decoder no longer works

Hello-

There are code changes to the .dcd files in every Omnipeek release. It is incumbent upon the customer to rewrite a custom decoder for the newest version, or continue to use 10.0.1.

Re: filter on Calculate implied transmitter

After you have filtered on the node's MAC either pre or post capture, you can check the resulting data and isolate the frames you are interested in by filtering on the TCP flags-

Re: OmniPeek 80211.s mesh packet decode support ?

Which version of Omnipeek are you using?

Although it has not been tested, support for meshed networks should be in the current version of Omnipeek, which is 11.1.
