OmniPeek 6.0.7 and small packet

I am doing some testing on 6.0.7, and ran across this issue. Using a network traffic generator (Ixia) to generate only small packets (ex. 64 byte). OmniPeek loaded on Windows 7 Ultimate N x32, OmniPeek seems to bounce in and out of a "not responding" state. I assume it is due to the number...

Recommended upgrade procedure

What is the recommended procedure for upgrading to a new version of OmniPeek?

Does it matter if it is a point release (minor version update) or full release (ex. Version 5 to Version 6).

Thanks!

SidebySide error 33 ?

Just installed OmniPeek 6.0.4 on Server2008 R2 Standard and Windows 7 Ultimate, both of them x64 installs. OmniPeek seems to run fine, but I noticed every time OmniPeek starts I get a sidebyside error 33. It is complaining about version on the VC80.MFCLOC. It looks like it wants to see v8.0.50727.76...

Capture from a file?

If I use the capture from a file option, it seems the source packet file is played over and over till I hit stop capture. Is there a way to play it once? How I did this was select file instead of adapter, set up my filter, hit start capture, then stop capture. I would like to be able to stop when fi...

Ring Buffer verse Capture Buffer?

What is the Ring Buffer? (tools/options/workspace page) What is the Capture Buffer? (capture options/general page) How are they related to each other and a data capture? What are the recommended setting? I think I was told leave the Ring Buffer at its default 4096, and the capture buffer should not ...

OmniPeek vs OmniEngine

Has anyone done any testing comparing the bandwidth of OmniPeek to OmniEngine? My guess is OmniEngine can not capture as much data and as fast as OmniPeek.

Thanks

OmniPeek 5 vs 6 buffer usage

Am I missing something or did the way OP handles buffers change?
I believe in version 5 it allowed any size buffer (limited by installed memory), while version 6 seems to limit it to less than 512M, no matter how much memory is installed.

Thanks

Can you reverse the display order in OmniPeek?

Can you reverse the display order of the packets so that the most recent packet is at the top instead of the bottom of the window?

Thanks

Do you have a White Paper or some kind of document that explains the Radius Analysis Module?

What it is looking for? Does it write a results file or any other files?

Thanks, I must be missing something.

Just tried ...

If I un-check the ports, do an apply, exit, and then check the options again it adds a second copy of the ports and enables them automatical.
