RE: RE: Sending Packets for a fixed amount of time

We do not have a sample posted on MyPeek that sends packets, but the DoSendPacket() function of the plug-in API is pretty easy to use. It is documented here: https://mypeek.wildpackets.com/documentation/peeksdk/index.php Keep in mind, that DoSendPacket() sends the packet through the adapter that Win...

diy,

Make sure you have downloaded the latest Ralink driver from MyPeek.

I have found USB drivers to be finicky. You may have to install it a couple of times, trying different USB ports.

As a last resort, completely uninstall and re-install OmniPeek, and then install the Ralink driver.

RE: naming protocols using PRTO

Hi LinkLooker, To have your protocol name displayed in the protocol field of the decoder view, and the protocol column of the packet list, you will need to extend the pspecs.xml. This file is in c:\program files\wildpackets\omnipeek\1033\pspecs.xml. The reference document for protospecs is at https:...

RE: SNMP Adapter

Hi Patrick,

The SNMP Adapter is really just a sample of what can be done. If you can tell us more about what you would like to do, we can give you some ideas about how to accomplish it with OmniPeek.

You can also call me directly at 925-274-5443.

RE: Linksys WUSB600N & missing wireless info..

Hi Still, OmniPeek Personal is a discontinued and unsupported product. Therefore it will be difficult for us to test this for you. In the current version of OmniPeek, the bssid, signal, and datarate values for the Linksys WUSB600N are displayed and accurate. You will also want to download the latest...

RE: Latency Monitor for OmniPeek Console not installing?

We think the solution to the problem above is to install the following service pack from Micorosft:

RE: RE: NetFlow Analyzer for the OmniPeek Engine

The NetFlow Analyzer runs on OmniPeek Professional and Enterprise. I am guessing that you are running OmniPeek Basic. Time to upgrade?

RE: RE: RE: Problem with Wireless Channel Aggregator

I have not had this problem myself, or heard of it happening around here. More details about the problem might help us to figure it out.

You might also try deleting the config file for the aggregator:

c:\program files\wildpackets\omnipeek\aggregator.xml

RE: RE: RE: RE: SFlow Adapter Issue

Yes, I can help. Please send me a small trace file with SFlow data in it. With that, I will be able to fix the problem in the SFlow Adapter, and post a new version to MyPeek.

RE: RE: Network disconnects

You should buy another Linksys WUSB600N. That way you have one for networking, and one for capture. Ideally, you would have even more of these to perform roaming latency analysis using the roaming plug-in.

NetFlow Analyzer for the OmniPeek Engine

We have just posted the NetFlow Analyzer for the OmniPeek Engine on MyPeek. If you have an OmniEngine, this is a great way to get visibility into your remote networks by taking advantage of the NetFlow capabilities of your Cisco Routers.
