Hi, M-

Although some customers use OmniPeek in a virtual environment on a Mac, the Apple hardware is not really a supported platform. That being said, of all the virtual environments available, Bootcamp has been reported to be the most problematic.

Hello- We have not tested OmniPeek with any of the adapters you reference. However, the current Ralink driver used by OmniPeek (5.1.12.48) appears to work with all the 2870 based Ralink/MediaTek adapters. We would encourage you to load the driver and let us know the result. Here are your answers:

1. Is the OP 9.1 client backward compatible with the 9.0.3 engine?.....Yes
2. Is the OP 9.0.4 client forward compatible with the 9.1 engine?....No, you always have to have a client that is the same or newer than the engine.

Please contact Tech Support directly. You will need to change the authentication type using the Capture Engine Manager to OS authentication only from TACACS:

We assume you are talking about Omnipliance Linux. Here is how to create a user in the Linux OS:

root@localhost:~# useradd xnxnx
root@localhost:~# passwd xnxnx
Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
passwd: password updated successfully

Savvius does not support Third-Party products. We suggest you contact WireShark with this issue.

Keep in mind, that OmniPeek 9.0 does not support Win 10. You must have the current version which is 9.0.4-
