how to configure GPS daemon

Postby david346 » Tue Nov 01, 2016 12:52 am

I have a small GPS dongle that provides the gps NMEA data over a USB-serial port, I can see the data via a terminal emulator but Omnipeek does not detect the GPS dongle. I have enabled the gps from the menu tools/option/gps but there are no com ports listed on the drop down window.

The Omnipeek manual mentions a second option for configuring gps by "starting the Savvius GPS daemon from the windows system tray" (user guide p517). Can you advise where I can find this.

Many thanks

Hello, David-

This is a known issue with the 64 bit version of Omnipeek. If you install the 32-bit version, you should get the COM port options.

This issue is slated to be fixed in a future version of Omnipeek.
