OmniPeek Demo and Intel 3945ABG

Postby amsoares » Wed May 07, 2008 11:11 am

Hello group,

I installed OmniPeek Enterprise Demo on my Lenovo T60 Laptop that includes the Intel Wireless NIC 3945ABG.
According to the OminPeek Enterprise FAQ, we just need to use the Intel drivers versions 10.5.1.72 or 10.1.5.75 since OmniPeek does support these native drivers. I tried both but i'm not able to capture more than a few packets. I noticed that i just get packets when OmniPeek is stopping the WZC service (takes 1-2 seconds). Once the WZC is stopped, i don't get any packets. I tried the latest release of the 3945 driver and i was able make regular captures but since i was getting some bluescreens, i had to rollback to the previous driver.

Any hints are welcome.

Thanks.

Hi Amsoares,

Are you sure T60 is using 3945ABG?
As i know Lenovo T60 not using 3945ABG NIC.
Check Lenovo R-series, normally R-series use 3945ABG wireless chipset.
I am using Lenovo R-series, it's smooth.

This is a Lenovo T60 and it has the 3945ABG Wireless NIC:
