Loading RA driver for Linksys/Cisco WUSB600N device

Postby Wbrug » Fri Jun 13, 2008 1:43 pm

I am using a WUSB600N wireless card and trying to load the driver for WP on a DELL 610 with an onboard Broadcom wireless NIC. What I am trying to do is be able to connect wirelessly with the Broadcom and capture with the USB. When I load the driver this is what I get.

"There was a problem installing this Hardware:

Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless N USB network adapter #2

An error occurred during the installation of the device

A service installation section in thei INF is invalid"

Anyone have a solution?

Software: Micosoft Windows XP Pro version 2002 SP2

We have had no customers with any problems installing the Ralink 2870 USB Adapter so far. The first thing to do is disable or uninstall any third party wireless utilities, VPN client software, anti-virus software, all of which can cause problems. If you continue to have issues, please contact Ralink who handles the official support of this driver.

Removed the Linksys software from my WS and loaded the RALINK 2870 driver and it seems to be working.

Hello

I'm facing exactly the same problem under windows vista with the WUSB600N wireless when I try to install the wildpacket drivers... I didn't install any driver or software from linksys. Windows Vista seems to recognize that I've installed the wildpacket drivers for this device but after a few seconds of loading, it gives me the same answer:

"There was a problem installing this Hardware:

Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless N USB network adapter

Wbrug, WS stands for WorkStation? Anyway, i didn't install anything except the wildpacket drivers...

Anyone could help please?

Thanks in advance,
