Not enough storage is available to process this command

Postby Aidan » Tue Jul 29, 2008 8:05 am

This error occurs when I try to open any .pkt file of about 2GB. Aside from using peeksplit to break up the .pkt file into smaller chunks, or trying SQL filter plugin, is there an alternative?

Omnipeek Enterprise 5.1
This has been tried on machines with 2-8GB RAM, but same error occurs.

Any ideas? Thanks.

The best thing to do is to keep your file sizes more manageable, perhaps 200MB. The only suggestion is to possibly purchase the OmniEngine software and use Forensic Searches to narrow down the data. With OmniPeek, PeekSplit and the SQL filter plugin are the only options for opening a large file such as 2GB. Remember, Windows can only allow 2GB total for any single application.

I have the same problem. I was trying to use peeksplit to get the files down to 128 MB. However, now when I try to open the file I get an error:

Peek has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

How do I resolve this error?
