Unable to start capture in Wireless (802.11) mode

Postby exluro » Sun Nov 23, 2008 10:30 pm

Hi All,

I have Linksys WUSB600N. I update driver download from Omnipeek site ralink_usb2870.zip.
I unzipped and got :rt2870.inf and rt2870.sys. I update driver.

When trying to launch Omnipeek with monitor option using Linksys USB600N. I got the message:" Unable to start capture in wireless (802.11) for this card. Default to Ethernet capture"

Coud any of you help me to fix this problem.
Best Regards,

When you select the USB Adapter in OmniPeek does it say: "WildPackets API: Yes" ? If not, then the driver was not installed correctly.

Hi Spacepacket,

Thank you for your help. I found out that if I used Linksys utility to install USB adapter, I couldn't update driver. I always got "Windows couldn't find a better one".

So I used the "Windows finds new hardware" to install when power-up. It worked.

Thanks,
