Postby buno87 » Fri Nov 28, 2008 4:35 am

hi all...
i'm a newbie using omnipeek; so i've some questions. i hope someone can help me:

first question:
when i start a capture trough a wireless adapter (at office), my pc disconnects from the network. is it normal?
instead, when i start a capture trough a wireless adapter (at home), my pc remains connect at the network.

second question:
sometimes the capture stops, and the buffer usage is still at 4% or 15% or 26%. is it normal?

thanks in advance
(sorry for my bad english)

bye

Yes, while you are capturing with a wireless adapter, your wireless connection will disconnect from the network. This only happens with wireless adapters, net ethernet adapters.

If this is undesirable, go buy a Linksys WUSB600N USB Wireless Adapter, download the Ralink driver from our site, and use this as your capture adapter. This way you can use your primary wireless card for network access.

No, it does not sound right that the capture would stop if the buffer is not full. There must be some other variable here.
