IP Local Routing in event log

Postby miwylie » Thu Feb 04, 2010 8:28 am

I have a ton of IP Local Routing in the event log for a capture. Trying to get more info on what this means.

Right Click on the Event and go to Event Finder Settings. Click the Show Info button and you will see details of the event, causes, and possible solutions.

The Expert is pretty vague in this instance, but there usually is a reason that duplicate packets are showing up. We have also seen this with SPAN ports on Cisco switches which essentially produce 2 of each packet. This happens when users SPAN a VLAN and use the BOTH option, but can occur under other circumstances as well. We have a feature request to create a filter that could filter out these duplications.
