IBM 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter

Postby NTL1991 » Sun Mar 16, 2008 2:46 pm

My ThinkPad T41 (Windows XP) has an Atheros-based a/b/g Mini PCI adapter installed in it, but when I install the appropriate drivers for the AR5001X+ chipset, I get the yellow exclamation point after restarting the system. I've tried to use multiple versions of the driver to no avail. I am unsure what to do now.

The specs on the card are as follows:
Chipset: Atheros AR5001X+
Radio chip: Atheros AR2111 (2.4GHz) and AR5111 (5GHz)
MAC Processor: Atheros AR5212
IEEE Standards: 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g
PCI ID: 168c:1014

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You,
Nick

Hello Nick

Could you solve your problem?? I have a T43p with a AR5004X chipset and the same problem. I tried to uninstall ThinkVantage AccessConnection but there was no effect. In the device manager the WLAN-Adapter still has the exclamation point with the following remark: Device could not be started. (Code 10).
The drivers I tried are 4.2.2.9 and 3.0.1.12 both with the same result.

thanks for any help
