What is the best adapter for capturing 802.11n frames?
I have been happily using the NEC Aterm WL300NC for a while. I recently got a new laptop and the new laptop does not have a cardbus slot. So now I am looking for a replacement that is equally reliable.
- my built-in Intel 6200 seems to capture only legacy frames (not 802.11n). Anybody know of a way to get it to capture 11n frames?
- I plan to try the Linksys wusb600n. Anybody have good or bad experience with this one?
- Are there any atheros based a/b/g/n expresscard adapters on the market in the US?

The Linksys WUSB600N is the most popular choice. Also the newer version, Cisco AE1000 also uses the same Ralink chipset and driver.

What is the roadmap for Intel adapters?
Will I be able to use my built-in Intel adapter for capturing 11n frames?

Intel has to open their API in order for us to use their adapters/drivers for packet capture. They have only done this once in the past and they don't seem likely to do it again in the future.
