Double-clicking .pkt files - Win7

Postby haugom » Fri Jul 08, 2011 1:45 am

I am running OP V6.6 on Win7 64-bit.

When double-clicking a .pkt file, OP is started, but the file is not automatically opened.

Any guidance on what I need to do?

We have tested this in house with Win7 64 bit machine, OmniPeek 6.6, and we cannot reproduce this issue. You may want to try completely disabling UAC and see if that helps.

I turned off UAC - and OP opened the file automatically.
I then adjustert UAC from Never to Notify to Default and Always.
OP opened the file automatically in all cases.

Case closed.

Thanx!

Just another comment to this topic;

When I double-click on a large capture file, it seems that nothing is happening after OP is opened. No messages displayed or any icon showing that the file is being opened. So, it seems that the file is not opened. A notification message would be fine.......
