CB21AG Windows 7 Drivers?

Postby Jeremy » Fri Nov 25, 2011 9:39 am

My work laptop has Windows 7 64-bit on it and I was given a Cisco CB21AG-A-K9 wireless card to use to do wireless packet sniffing with WildPackets OmniPeek professional. When Windows 7 did the install of the drivers for the card it installed Atheros AR5004X driver. Then when I ran OmniPeek it would not capture the wireless traffic due to the adapter not being WildPackets API. Now when I tried to use the driver from the WildPackets Driver page for the CB21AG, Windows 7 would not accept it due to it not being a driver that supports 64-bit operating systems. When searching for this problem online I did not find any conclusive results so either this setup does not work or I need to use a different compatible adapter with Windows 7.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Jeremy-

That adapter is more than six years old and there is no 64 bit driver for it. We would recommend you purchase a new adapter for use with OmniPeek:
