Using OmniPeek to decrypt WLAN packets

Postby mazydizzle » Fri May 16, 2014 9:23 am

Hi all,

I am struggling to get OMNIPeek to decrypt my wireless LAN packets. I am using WPA2 AES encryption. Can this be done?

Thanks

Mario

You need to capture all of the EAPOL packets for decryption to work. Also, WPA2 Enterprise is not yet supported in OmniPeek.

Hi DJWP,
So we CANNOT decrypt packets that are encrypted in enterprise WPA2 mode, right?
If so, will this be done in the near future
or
this just cannot be done due to the nature of the enterprise wpa2 security?

OmniPeek can decrypt the packets if encrytped with WPA2/Passphrase. WPA2 Enterprise commonly uses a RADIUS server and supports multiple authentication types such as digital certificates and tokens, which are not supported by OmniPeek at present-
