Plugin samples and 64-bit

Postby stana » Wed Mar 18, 2015 11:43 am

I have recently been working on a plugin for my 64-bit install of OmniPeek. This is more difficult than it needs to be because the plugin wizard only supports 32-bit, and most of your samples are also 32-bit and some fairly ancient. It's good that the wizard now supports VS2013, but would it be possible for the web site to list which version of VS a sample is written for, and possibly get some updates of the samples to VS2013, 64-bit, and the latest version of the OmniPeek APIs and structures?

You are correct, most of the plug-ins are old and will be removed from the site shortly. Here are the only plug-ins that have been updated and will remain (both 32 and 64 bit versions:

Cloud Latency Monitor
• DHCP Stats
• FindMe
• Cloud Stats Plugin
• Traffic Analyzer Plugin
• QoS Stats Plugin
• Fix Plug-in
• LogMe
• Peek Player

Hello-

Both OmniPeek Plug-in Wizard 12 v1.9 and OmniEngine Plug-in Wizard v8.0 have the option to build 64-bit plug-ins. We hope to have these posted to our MyPeek customer portal very soon.

The new plugin wizards have been posted to MyPeek, Omni Plugin Wizard 2 is based on VS 2013:

You will need a current maintenance account to access these resources.

Hope this helps-
