Wildpackets Help & My New Member Greeting :)

Postby mezcal » Mon Aug 30, 2010 11:51 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm new to these forums so just want to start off with a big hello to you all.

Anyway, as per the subject title, I'm looking for a WiFi card that is supported by drivers produced by Wildpackets so that I can use OmniPeek, EtherPeek, etc. I'm new to the use of these types of applications so would be appreciative if you'd take it easy on me and help me out.

I'm using a Lenovo X100e netbook that has a built in WiFi card (unsupported mini-PCI Express card) and the BIOS whitelist does not support any Wildpacket supported cards (I'm 99% sure on this). I suppose my only option with this computer is an external USB card. If anyone has experience getting a USB card to work I would love to hear from you.

I have posted similar requests on the official Lenovo & Thinkpad forums with little luck.

Thanks again for your time and I hope to hear from as many people as possible.

Kind regards,

Mezcal

Here is a list of supported adapters. You can use the Linksys USB adapter with OmniPeek:
